About SPS

The Southeastern Pastel Society was established in 1987 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting pastel painting in the Southeast. The Society has since grown and has members across the United States and beyond. We play a vital role in the pastel community by providing education and a channel of communication within an environment where pastel artists may flourish.

Southeastern Pastel Society has members across the US and abroad bringing a wealth of experience and talent to the society as they explore the pastel medium and grow in their ability as artists. We provide our members with a platform to showcase their work in our national juried exhibitions, member exhibitions, website galleries, social media platforms as well as the opportunity to enter the prestigious IAPS juried exhibitions.
